Not Enough Eyes

Dear Readers and Potential Fans,

I would like to begin by apologizing for any errors you have come across in my novels. One of the biggest issues I have run into with self-publishing is that there are not enough eyes to effectively proof read before publication. When I finally completed my first manuscript I was so very proud. I thought that between spell check and numerous proof reading sessions that I had successfully caught all of the mistakes. I was very wrong. There were still blatant grammar mistakes and syntax errors!

So I shamefully pulled the book from Amazon and began the grueling process of re-editing. I even hired a professional editor, surely it was correct now. So I republished a second time, then a third time and now after a fourth time I am still seeing errors.

I have learned through this process that you can never have enough eyes looking for mistakes. I actually need a team of editors and proof readers to ensure a perfect copy. THIS is the difference between self-published and agented novelist. THEY have a team, WE are our own team. Please, please dear reader of this letter, if you have a solution out there, send it over my way!

Desperately,

Self Published Author
