A Season of SharingKimberly Ezabia ArtisDec 6, 20181 min read When I think about Christmas, I think about family, happiness, sharing and love. Memories of stocking stuffers, happy faces and the clogs I received when I was ten years old. I remember seeing them on the Cosby Show and I wanted them so badly, I'm still not sure how my mother knew, but she got them for me. I remember being the loudest student at my school, stomping through the halls with my new clogs. What are your favorite childhood Christmas memories? Today, I try to create those memories for my own children. Memories of Christmas morning, hot cocoa and family around the Christmas tree that will last for their lifetime. However, when I think about the fact that some child or family is going without this holiday it makes me sad. There will be families that cannot afford gifts for their children, what are some of the things you do to give back and share this season? Almost every grocery store takes donations, you can drop off a gift to a fire department, even volunteer at church. It is important that we teach our children that this season is not just about receiving gifts, but for giving and sharing with those who are less fortunate. I wrote a book about sharing this season titled: One Little Bulb. Its a nice way to teach kids about those around them who may be less fortunate this holiday season. It can be found on Amazon and read through KDP for free.
